Hailing from Melbourne (AUS) the band maintains a strict DIY recording ethic and comes with a handful of global releases, the 2 most recent albums being on UK's acclaimed Soul Jazz Records thus landing Brown Spirits as the first ever act from Australia to sign with the label.
Their 2023 album Solitary Transmissions and their new release Cosmic Seeds continue their tradition of 1960sโ1970s inspired psychedelic jams and krautrock excursions. The band is praised for their democratic musicality and exploration into funk and jazz territories with moogโdriven melodies.

Barbican Estate formed in Tokyo in 2019 and consists of Kazuki Toneri (Gt, Sitar), Miri (Ba, Vo), and Koh Hamada (Dr, Percussion). Theyโve consistently played shows in the Tokyo underground scene along with releasing an EP and 3 singles in 2020. They released their 1st album Way Down East in winter 2021. Barbican Estate uses drones, psychedelic soundscapes, driving rhythms, and vivid lyricism to create their massive sound.
The band's influences include Japanese psychedelic/noise rock, US experimental bands, classic film, as well as literary and architectural movements.
