Black Tempest is Surrey-based multi-instrumentalist Stephen Bradbury. Known for his deeply psychedelic synth epics, he has released 3 albums on the Weird Beard label - Psyberspace, Psyborg and Astral Pastoral. He also collaborated with Manchester's Dead Sea Apes on the acclaimed The Sun Behind the Sun and Dataland albums.
The latest Black Tempest album, Folding Space, is the first vinyl release on Bradburyโs own Tempest Towers imprint. This album continues to showcase the kosmische synth and guitar sounds that Bradbury has become known for, but this time he ventures further into deep-diving modular territory, and it also features Nick Raybould on drums and percussion.
Stephen has appeared at the Supernormal Festival, the Glastonbury Psych Fest, and supported Gnod on the main London date of their European tour in 2024.
